Abstract

Since its 2005 launch as one of the first open access journals, Molecular Systems Biology has played a pioneering role in establishing and shaping the field of systems biology, recognised for publishing robust, interdisciplinary research. With a progressive scope that spans molecules, cells, tissues, and populations, the journal reflects the evolving frontiers of systems biology. MSB introduced ‘Structured methods’ to improve reproducibility of published data, one of many open science innovations at EMBO Press. Review articles published as tutorials showcase diverse methods, offering practical guidelines and insights to support wider use in research. Author benefits: scooping protection from preprint, transparent and consultative peer review, pre-decision and revision author discussion, data-integrity and curation services.
