In contrast, it shows higher solubility in acetic anhydride, particularly when compared to its tetrahydrated form, enhancing its effectiveness in non‐aqueous oxidation systems. 2 Oxidizing Potential: with an active oxygen content of approximately 16%, sodium perborate monohydrate demonstrates a higher oxidizing capacity than its tetrahydrated form (∼10.4%), making it more effective in oxidative transformations. 1b,3 Preparative Method: commercial production of sodium perborate monohydrate is typically achieved through dehydration of the tetrahydrate form. 1b Handling, Storage, and Precautions: it should be stored in a cool, ventilated, and dry place, away from combustible materials and reducing agents. Containers should be tightly closed to prevent moisture absorption and maintain product stability.
