Corrosion Data
Abstract
Corrosion Data B.1 Iso-Corrosion DiagramsIso-corrosion diagrams demarcate approximate corrosion limits in the form of concentration-temperature maps for different alloys. Some of these were shown in Chapter 4. They must be used with care because these diagrams are based on weight-loss corrosion tests conducted over short times (typically 24-120 hours, depending on the environment). They do not reflect localized corrosion susceptibility, long-term performance, or other effects such as fluid flow.Nevertheless, they may be used to guide further investigations. The following figures are examples of iso-corrosion diagrams for various commercial alloys. The reader can obtain further data from various alloy manufacturers' websites or corrosion handbooks .Corrosion of Nickel-Based Alloys, First Edition.Narasi Sridhar.
