Abstract

This chapter aims to give a general overview of the human cardiovascular system. This comprehensive transport system consists of several key components: blood, blood vessels, the heart, and the lymphatic system. The heart is located within the thoracic cavity, and when it functions properly, the system effectively supports a wide range of physiological activities in the human body. However, any failure in these components can result in pathological changes or even serious, life-threatening consequences.
