Abstract

6G networks will provide previously unheard-of connection and data rates, bringing in a new age of ubiquitous connectivity and game-changing technology. This chapter highlights the existing challenges in networks and how quantum computing provides an advanced approach to addressing the demands by leveraging quantum phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to process large amounts of data and solve optimization problems more efficiently. In 6G systems and beyond, network intelligence would need processing power and computation time, which are difficult in existing installations. Though, the quantum computing with the QML became a feasible way to address this problem, incorporating these machines into the structure of networks. To fill this gap, this chapter demonstrates the design concepts of distributed design principles, in which quantum computing systems are placed in the cloud. Incorporating quantum computing, a novel model that uses the laws of quantum physics to execute estimated values beyond the capacity of classical computers, is essential to this progress. In the framework of 6G networks, we examine the possible synergy between quantum computing and network intelligence in this chapter.
