Smart Irrigation Technique Using IoT Based on 5G
Abstract
Agriculture is a demanding occupation that uses a lot of water, so we need systems that use water wisely. Farmers need to measure and irrigate their crops with the right amount of water. Farmers should go to the field and use their intuition and experience to estimate how much water they need to release. Intelligent agriculture has been made possible by the growing adoption of 5G and advanced information technologies like the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. Smart agriculture will flourish in large part thanks to the 5G-based Internet of Things. The main goal is to provide an automatic irrigation system that saves farmers time, money, and energy. This system records various factors such as soil moisture and water level. Smart irrigation systems are evolving with new technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), and are controlled automatically from remote locations. The system can also control the amount of water supplied to plants as needed. The device will send a notification to the farmer and automatically turn on the sprinkler system. The sprinkler will automatically turn off when the moisture level reaches the reference value. The system also checks incoming water for contamination and sends notifications to farmers so they can take further action.
