Impedance Interaction Analysis for Converter‐integrated Power Systems
Abstract
Impedance interaction analysis In the previous chapter, the proposed impedance stability analysis relies on the determinant of the impedance interaction matrix, which involves a two-dimensional impedance system. Although the determinant of a matrix is a valid mathematical method for explaining system stability, it does not clearly specify the physical impedance interaction, as in the case of a single-dimensional R L C circuit. In this chapter, various methods to further simplify the impedance interaction matrix into a single-dimension impedance are presented to demonstrate their effectiveness and limitations. The widely adopted "negative resistor" criterion for explaining system stability is also included.
