Abstract

This chapter focuses on the design of Large-Scale Offshore Wind Farm (LSOWF) Collection Systems (CSs), introducing a cluster-based topology generation method for large-scale Offshore Wind Farm CSs (OWFCSs). This method simplifies the dimensions of large-scale OWFs through clustering techniques and generates the CS Topology (CST) layout using heuristic algorithms or mathematical methods. Such an approach significantly reduces the construction costs of CSs and improves the operational stability of OWFs.
