Abstract

This chapter operationalizes an ethics algorithm through the detailed analysis of 12 original case studies. These cases span a range of ethical challenges in OEHS including whistleblowing, surveillance, AI deployment, expert witness integrity, hazardous waste in vulnerable communities, and global safety standards. Each case is analyzed using a quantitative ethical algorithm that balances multiple ethical lenses with applicable codes of conduct. The chapter demonstrates the complexity of ethical decision-making and the practical value of structured analysis.
