PUTTING THE WHOLE ETHNOGRAPHY TOGETHER

This final chapter focuses on the ethnographic presentation as a whole and the importance of sharing the findings and presentation with participants to receive feedback. Ethnographic presentations frequently employ an hourglass model with a broader scope in the opening and closing and a more specific focus on ethnographic findings in the middle, but there are other alternative models that may better match the specifics of a particular ethnographic project. The final presentation should contextualize the findings in terms of relevant scholarly literature and incorporate illustrative pieces like maps, charts, and photographs. Once compiled as a whole, the final step involves sharing and revision to incorporate feedback.
