WRITING A PROPOSAL
Abstract
This chapter traces the process of writing a research proposal for an ethnographic project. The process begins with the review of relevant literature supporting a clear articulation of the problem that motivates the research project. The literature review and statement of the problem lead into the description of a detailed research plan and an explanation of the larger significance of the proposed research project. A proposal for any ethnographic research project should also consider and address human subjects review and approval.
