COLLABORATIVE ETHNOGRAPHY

In light of ongoing discussions of and increasing commitments to collaboration in ethnography, this chapter asks readers to consider the prospects of collaboration in their projects and ethnography more generally. Modes of collaboration in ethnography include working in research teams and working with research participants as collaborators (in both data collection and analysis). Prospects for collaboration and its productivity depend on the research topic and context and should be evaluated with respect to the proposed research topic.
