Nanomaterial Based Electrochemical Sensors for Chemical Detection
Abstract
Accurate and reasonably priced approaches to identify pharmaceutical compounds and guarantee their purity have lately attracted more demand. Consequently, the development of specialized electrochemical sensors made of novel materials has attracted a lot of interest. To improve electrode materials by raising surface area, promoting immobilization efficiency, improving molecular recognition, and so strengthening transduction signals, researchers have included nanomaterials (NMs) in electrochemical sensors. Advanced electrochemical sensors must be maximized by thorough knowledge of the electrochemical and physicochemical interactions at the interface of NMs and pertinent analytes. Recent achievements in the construction of electrochemical sensors using NMs to identify significant molecules such as acetaminophen, ibuprofen, aminophenol, diclofenac, and dopamine are examined in this work. It investigates the several NMs applied in the designing of electrochemical sensors. It also signifies the recent achievements in the design of modified electrodes and the detection of organic pollutants using related methods.
