The Strategic Use of Evidence (SUE) Technique

In past chapters on the Strategic Use of Evidence (SUE) technique, we have presented a meta-analysis, a conceptual overview, and an in-depth review of the core components of the technique. In this chapter, we will close in on the applications of the technique. First, we will focus on SUE in criminal proceedings—where we will explore and describe how the technique can contribute not only to the investigative phase, but also to prosecutors' construction of a criminal case. Second, we will offer examples of how the SUE technique can be used for undercover operations, investigative journalism, and in asylum contexts.
