Omoluabi Leadership
Abstract
The Omoluabi leadership framework, derived from Yoruba cultural values, emphasises character, integrity and social responsibility as essential leadership traits. Unlike leadership models influenced by external frameworks, Omoluabi provides an Afrocentric perspective, fostering ethical and effective leadership. An Omoluabi is a person of exceptional character who upholds trust, accountability and resilience, both in personal and professional life. Their leadership is defined by ethical behaviour, perseverance and a commitment to uplifting their community. The C-CHAIR model further refines this approach, guiding leaders through character development, strategic vision and collaboration. By integrating self-reflection, respect and adaptability, Omoluabi leaders create transformative impacts in their organisations and society. This framework serves as a universal guide for cultivating leaders who inspire and serve with wisdom and empathy. Through its emphasis on moral excellence and communal values, the Omoluabi model offers a sustainable approach to leadership in an ever-changing global landscape.
