Abstract

This chapter provides information on indosol, diazotisation, naphthol, vat-leucoester, basic, phthalocyanine and mordant dyes, pigments, mineral colourants and natural dyes, which were used in the past for dyeing cellulose fibres but have lost their importance today or are used in limited amounts in certain areas. After providing information on the structure, fastness properties and end-uses of these dyes, it is outlined how to dye with these dyes.
