Correction of Faulty Dyeings
Abstract
No matter how carefully the dyeing process is carried out, various errors can inevitably occur. It is possible to divide the errors that occur in dyeing into two groups: dyeing that is correct but in a different colour than it should be (lighter, darker or in a different nuance) and dyeing that is uneven (barre, moire, abraj, edge-middle-edge difference, tailing, etc.). Correcting these errors is an additional process and reduces the value of the product. This chapter provides information on lightening and levelling and stripping processes in faulty dyeings made with various dye classes.
