Abstract

Nutrition is one of the fundamental foundations of fighting cancer and improving quality of life, and so a thorough review of how to improve energy with food will be presented. Nutrition, or the question “What should I eat?,” is one of the most common questions asked about in clinical practice. Patients are often inclined to drastically change the way they eat and might engage in fad diets that put patients at risk of fatigue and nutritional deficiencies, such as fasting, juicing, vegan, or vegetarian diets. Patients often feel confused about the information on the internet, feel afraid of eating certain foods, and may start to limit a wide variety of food groups. This chapter aims to educate its readers about nutrition and cancer, drawing from data acquired from large-scale clinical trials.
