Abstract

The topic of fear of cancer recurrence is explored, and how there is a bidirectional relationship between fear and physical symptoms, such as fatigue. Fatigue may cause heightened fear as people may associate it with a return of their disease, and the psychological toll that fear creates, in turn, exacerbates fatigue. Complementary therapies are discussed, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, health behaviour change, and post-traumatic growth.
