Abstract

Sleep disturbance is very common during and after cancer treatment. The causes might be circadian rhythm dysregulation, cortisol aberrations, presence of pain, hot flashes, use of steroids, and stress. Sleep is integral to healing, and lack of sleep is associated with poorer health outcomes, and lack of energy. Special mention is also made about the awareness of sleep apnea. Evidence-based complementary therapies are suggested for sleep.
