Abstract

Predictive analytics stands as a primary component of modern healthcare due to its role in supporting the earliest possible illness detection, diagnosis, and treatment. This chapter explains the fundamental principles of predictive analytics in two critical areas of medicine: nephrology and pulmonology. In predictive nephrology, data analytics and machine learning are applied to estimate the progression of chronic kidney disease for patients. In the same way, predictive pulmonology applies similar techniques to data on lung disorders such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). These techniques entail data outlines, vital approaches, and elaborate work at its finest. In predictive pulmonology, we focus on data outlines, vital approaches, and collections of case studies. The predictive analytics approach for asthma and COPD focuses on early identification of flare-ups, tailoring treatment plans, prognosis, and outcome forecasting. This chapter provides an extensive account of prediction analytics relating to nephrology and pulmonology while advocating for better healthcare outcomes and highlighting the shift toward personalized medicine in these critical areas of healthcare.
