Abstract

Forecasting analytics has the potential to improve patient care, treatment results, and resource usage in healthcare systems. This article looks deeper into advanced predicting techniques for better accuracy and dependability of healthcare forecasts, concentrating on ensemble modeling as well as feature engineering. Stacking, boosting, and bagging are ensemble techniques that form stronger and more accurate predictions by combining the results of several base models. These methods effectively improve precision and take advantage of complex interrelations within healthcare datasets, especially in highly uncertain and variable domains. To improve model performance, healthcare data need to be transformed into meaningful features through feature engineering. It constitutes transforming insights gathered from medical records, monitoring data, and other data sources into input features that mark the important data trends. Binding, encoding, scaling, and transformation are some of the many steps that enhance a model's predictive capabilities. The paper provides an in-depth review of ensemble methodologies and engineering works applied to the healthcare predictive model and offers guidance on their implementation. It also proposes solutions to the problems of model interpretability, high computational burden, and data quality issues. Overall, the combination of these two methods leads to improvements in the predicted analytic precision and reliability of healthcare analytics, thereby improving the services the patients get, the resources consumed, and overall advanced healthcare decision-making.
