Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced the efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of medical diagnoses. The current chapter delves into AI tools in medicine, their challenges, and prospects. Medical image analysis, including X-ray, MRI, and CT scan interpretation, is commonly performed by trained professionals, but due to the rise of deep learning models, machines are now able to perform such tasks with higher precision. These advancements in AI technologies contribute to improved patient outcomes due to quicker evaluations and enhanced diagnostic accuracy. Other emerging AI applications, such as intelligent monitoring devices, are revolutionizing healthcare by enabling early detection and ongoing chronic disease management using real-time analysis of biological data. Furthermore, other issues remain such, as no consistent results due to the absence of standard datasets for AI training and the constant problems of data privacy and security. Collaboration of physicians, healthcare experts, and public policymakers to formulate enhanced standards and greater data protection policies can help overcome such barriers. The future of AI technologies in medical diagnostics will provide unparalleled opportunities to deliver individualized and precise medical care globally.
