Heat Transfer
Abstract
The equivalence of the discrete laws of heat transfer and mechanics is revealed by the differentiation of a transfer equation based on the acceleration of heat flux. Heat transfer is an integral part of the field of mechanics, at least when considering material media where the viscous momentum dissipation can be associated with diffusive thermal dissipation. In order for a law of heat transfer to closely comply to the framework with continuum mechanics, it is necessary to choose a fluid model that best represents non-isentropic viscous flows. The model for a heat transfer law is sought based on discrete mechanics where the concepts of continuum mechanics are set aside. Conductive heat transfer relies on concepts very close to those of mass diffusion and momentum diffusion in a viscous fluid.
