Abstract

More recently, the development of continuous refining processes, rather than batch-type operations, necessitated more refined laboratory techniques and, subsequently, on-line analyzers. TOTCO 1269 initial boiling point (IBP) analyzer could monitor any preselected point on the ASTM distillation curve from the initial boiling point of a hydrocarbon stream to approximately 30% of its boiling point range. TOTCO model 6500 final boiling point (FBP) analyser was similar in many ways to the model 1269 initial boiling point analyser. Precision model 41468 vacuum distillation analyser is essentially the original TOTCO model 1468 vacuum distillation analyzer. Hallikainen model 1463 distillation analyser was the first on-line Hallikainen analyser. Rexon model 52000 boiling point analyser was essentially a miniaturized version of IBP and FBP analyzers. Fluid data model 1463M distillation analyzer is a later version of the 1463D boiling point analyzer.
