Abstract

To be truly effective, a specification must be easy to understand and contain only the information required for the purchase of the analyzer system under consideration. Specification sheets represent a summary of all the text included in the specification document and thus must be clear and concise. Data sheets should also contain a notation if the sample conditions are estimated from a process simulation or model rather than actual samples. This will provide the design engineers some indication of how much variation to incorporate into their design. To develop a quality analyzer system requires a quality relationship between all parties working on the project. This means both sides must trust each other and work together in an open atmosphere to complete the task at hand. Occupational Safety and Health Administration exposure limits are very important standards that define the amount of exposure a person can have to a substance.
