Mooville
Abstract
This case relates to the city of Frama's “bike plan” project, whose management has been entrusted to a service provider. After four years, the results are negative; there are numerous malfunctions and real dissatisfaction among users. The case study is an opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at the organization of a self-service e-bike initiative, highlighting the challenges and difficulties of digitalized logistics. Mooville, a start-up specializing in consulting for and development of digital solutions in urban logistics, has decided to respond to this call for tenders launched by the Frama local authority. The response to the call for tenders consists of two parts: audit and consulting work followed by deployment of the turnkey offer. Feedback on the current solution via a review of the press reports numerous malfunctions (e.g. too few terminals, poor quality bicycles, dissatisfied users). However, this project presents opportunities for the municipality of Frama.
