Abstract

Abstract Sahure was the second king of the Egyptian 5th Dynasty and has been suggested as the son of his predecessor Userkaf with Queen Neferhetepes II, or the brother of the former and the son of Queen Khentkaus I. Sahure was succeeded by his son Neferirkare Kakai. According to the slightly later Palermo Stone, his reign was thirteen years, five months and twelve days long.
