Abstract

Fluidized bed applications can fail if pitfalls and knowledge gaps are not addressed in a timely manner. However, this does not mean fluidized beds are inherently problematic or costly. When addressed early in development, potential pitfalls can be effectively mitigated, allowing fluidized operations to deliver economical, efficient, and reliable solutions, particularly for processes requiring temperature control and/or solids conveying.
