Abstract

Metal-doped high-entropy materials (M-HEMs) are emerging as advanced materials for energy storage as they possess high-entropy stabilization, tunable electrochemical properties, and structural flexibility. Their superior properties make them the most suitable material for supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, and dielectric capacitors. In this chapter, several synthesis methods for M-HEMs are reviewed comprehensively, such as high-temperature sintering, mechanical alloying, solvothermal synthesis, and chemical vapor deposition. In addition, challenges such as phase stability, synthesis scalability, and structural control are addressed. Furthermore, the role of computational methods such as machine learning, molecular dynamics, and density functional theory is discussed. This chapter emphasizes the integration of experimental and computational advancements and discusses the potential of M-HEMs in next-generation energy storage technologies.
