Abstract

The critical need for functional materials to facilitate the development of novel energy sources has prompted significant efforts in both scientific and industry research in the last few years. In recent times, high-entropy materials (HEMs) have generated considerable focus in environmental research along with renewable energy systems due to their especial architectural attributes, versatile chemical makeup, and matching adjustable functional features. This chapter presents a thorough study of this novel category of materials in the renewable energy sector, including synthesis procedures, applications across many energy domains, and their benefits. Additionally, the problems and future prospects of HEMs are examined, presenting current research and advancements to provide a thorough analysis for researchers and scientists in the renewable energy sector.
