Abstract

ABSTRACT This article delves with the inspection of modifiable parameter‐reliant fault estimation and sliding mode control (SMC) design for switched Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems prone to faults, uncertainties, and external disturbances. First, including the output data of the considered system, a fuzzy‐reliant fault estimation equipped along with two modifiable parameter is devised. In accordance with this, a Luenberger state observer is developed to estimate the unmeasurable system states. Further, an augmented system is constructed for specifying undertaken system and error system that correlate with estimated and actual system states and faults. Second, in order to attain the stability of system which are resilient to uncertainties and to fulfill the required level of performance, we construct fault‐tolerant based integral sliding mode control. Furthermore, the assortment of sufficient conditions affirming the finite‐time boundedness with the endorsed performance index is proposed in the framework of linear matrix inequalities by lining up an appropriate Lyapunov function. Following that, utilizing the established criteria, an explicit design for the gain matrices is constructed. Eventually, simulation findings are put forward for the tunnel diode circuit system and the mass‐spring‐damping system so as to assess the effectiveness and applicability of the theoretical perspectives.
