Precision Carrier Landing Control Method Based on Weighted Pseudo‐Inverse and Adaptive Super‐Twisting Extended State Observer
Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper presents a novel automatic precision carrier landing system for carrier‐based aircraft, addressing the unique challenges of carrier operations, including complex maritime environments and uncertainties in aircraft dynamics. Traditional control systems, which primarily rely on elevator‐based trajectory adjustments, often suffer from limited precision and slow response during landing. To overcome these limitations, this study integrates the integrated direct lift control (IDLC) strategy with the weighted pseudo‐inverse (WPI) method, achieving complete decoupling of trajectory regulation, attitude stabilization, and speed control, while optimizing control surface allocation. Furthermore, an adaptive super‐twisting extended state observer (ASTESO) is incorporated to estimate and compensate for external disturbances and unmodeled dynamics in real time. The ASTESO ensures finite‐time convergence of estimation errors and significantly enhances system robustness. Simulation results validate the proposed system's effectiveness, offering valuable insights for advancing carrier‐based aircraft landing control strategies.
