Abstract

Composite Metal Foam Entrapped air inside the airtight porosities of composite metal foam provides lightweightness and cushion-ability. This could boost the safety of a tank car upon impact, thereby protecting the environment from HAZMAT spillage and fire. More information about the results of both experimental and numerical approaches can be found in the Research Article by Afsaneh Rabiei and Aman Kaushik (10.1002/adem.202501605).
