Abstract

Hard Carbon Anodes The Bagua diagram in Chinese culture embodies the complementary sodium-ion storage mechanisms in hard carbon anodes: interlayer intercalation (slope capacity) and pore filling (plateau capacity). High-performance hard carbon anodes require dual-high slope capacity and plateau capacity as a prerequisite. The Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202521988) by Jin Niu, Feng Wang, and co-workers establishes the rules for directly predicting and improving the performance of hard carbon anodes based on the carbon structures.
