Regulating Metallic Deposition Behavior by Gradient Alloy/Solid Electrolyte Interphase for Durable Na/K Anodes (Adv. Funct. Mater. 2/2026)
Abstract
Durable Na/K Anodes In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202515253), Yingjie Sun, Fangzhi Huang, Yu Jiang, and co-workers develop ultralong lifespan Na (K) metal batteries (NMBs; KMBs) by constructing a gradient interlayer on the Na (K) metal surface. The full cells deliver superior electrochemical performance at −40 °C and 60 °C, respectively. The findings provide a paradigm for the design of multifunctional gradient interphase layers that enable wide-temperature operation of stable NMBs (KMBs).
