Mechanically Programmable Diffractive Neural Networks Based on Pancharatnam‐Berry Phase (Adv. Funct. Mater. 9/2026)
Abstract
Diffractive Neural Networks In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.202512689), Qian Ma, Tie Jun Cui, and co-workers introduce a mechanically reconfigurable diffractive neural network based on Pancharatnam-Berry (PB) phase elements, which, under circularly polarized wave excitation, can perform classification for multiple tasks. The cover image visually and clearly illustrates this core mechanism.
