Dipole‐Engineered Conductive Additives for Ultrastable Interphase Evolution in High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes (Adv. Funct. Mater. 62/2026)
Abstract
Dipole-Engineered Conductive Additive In their Research Article (10.1002/adfm.75952), Won Bae Kim and co-workers report a dipole-engineered sulfonyl-functionalized conductive additive that promotes preferential fluoroethylene carbonate (FEC) association and forms a robust LiF-rich interphase on silicon anodes. The cover image illustrates localized dipole interactions at the Si/carbon interface, enabling stabilized interphase chemistry and enhanced performance for high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries.
