Abstract

Diverse Polymeric Surfaces for Biomedical Applications In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202503524), Behnam Akhavan and co-workers address the long-standing challenge of bonding hydrogels to solid polymer substrates by introducing a universal, reagent-free strategy using plasma-generated reactive oxygen species. This scalable, linker-free method enables robust adhesion and broad material compatibility, advancing hybrid solid–hydrogel systems for next-generation biomedical devices and bioprinting applications.
