Abstract

4D Printing of Human Vascularized Cardiac Tissues with Selective Fast-Shrinking Capillaries The cover image depicting one-step 4D printing of vascularized cardiac tissue, driven by rapidly shrinking, self-organizing capillaries. This method enables precise control over microvascular architecture, creating dense, perfusable networks that promote functional integration within engineered heart constructs. The illustration showcases the seamless integration of bioinks, stimuli-responsive materials, and digital design, highlighting how this coordinated approach enables rapid, reproducible fabrication of fully vascularized cardiac tissues with physiologically relevant microvasculature, from large vessels down to fine capillaries, advancing the frontier of regenerative medicine. More details can be found in the Research Article by Tal Dvir and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202512879).
