Abstract

Abstract Graphene and its derivatives have attracted significant attention for their exceptional optical, electrical, and thermal properties. Among them, reduced graphene oxide (rGO) exhibits a combination of pronounced optical absorption and elevated thermal conductivity, thereby serving as a versatile platform for light–matter interactions at micro‐ and nanoscales. Here, the study demonstrates a rGO‐based opto‐thermoelectric tweezers system that facilitates low‐power, stable trapping and manipulation of particles and biological cells. The laser‐induced reduction of graphene oxide produces localized temperature gradients and thermoelectric fields, enabling the effective capture of gold particles and yeast cells. By patterning rGO into arrays and sinusoidal microstructures, the trajectories of particles can be programmably and dynamically controlled. This strategy integrates photothermal and thermoelectric effects within a single 2D platform, underscoring the potential of rGO for applications in micro‐ and nano‐manipulation, optofluidics, and biosensing.
