Abstract

The NaIO 4 ‐promoted selenylation/cyclization of 1‐(2‐(vinyloxy)aryl)‐indoles with diselenides has been reported for the synthesis of selenized benzo[5,6][1,4]oxazino[4,3‐ a ]indole derivatives. In this synthesis, the indole moiety with significant medicinal value, the morpholine skeleton, and the selenium group were introduced into a privileged structure, resulting in the target compound with potential value. The reaction features wide substrate scope, high group tolerance and good yield, which also represents the first selenylation/cyclization of 1‐(2‐(vinyloxy)aryl)‐indoles and diselenides.
