Abstract

Porphyrin‐based structural materials and their derivatives play a crucial role in the field of photocatalysis, thanks to their unique conjugated macroring structure, tunable electronic properties, and biomimetic catalytic capabilities. By precisely modifying the structure of porphyrins, it is possible to significantly enhance their light absorption, charge separation, and catalytic performance, thereby advancing their applications in photocatalysis. This review systematically explores the structural control methods for enhancing the photocatalytic performance of porphyrin‐structured materials and their photocatalytic mechanisms, including the selection mechanism of the central metal, the ligand modification strategies, and the self‐assembly techniques. It also elaborates on the impact of these strategies on key performance aspects such as photocatalytic CO 2 reduction, water splitting, pollutant degradation, and organic synthesis. Furthermore, it presents prospects for the possible future research directions of porphyrin‐structured materials in photocatalytic applications.
