Fe‐Doped In 2 O 3 Fibers Enabling Efficient Photo‐Fenton Degradation of Organic Pollutants
Abstract
ABSTRACT Organic pollutant contamination in aquatic environments has become a serious environmental issue, and conventional treatment methods are often insufficient for their removal. In this study, 1D hollow Fe–In 2 O 3 fibers with highly dispersed Fe active sites were constructed, providing abundant redox‐active sites. The hollow fibrous morphology provides a large surface exposure and structural stability for catalytic reactions, while the introduced Fe species facilitate H 2 O 2 activation and promote the generation of hydroxyl radicals (·OH). The Fe‐In 2 O 3 hollow fibers exhibit excellent photo‐Fenton activity under visible‐light irradiation, achieving 96% tetracycline degradation within 4 h, which is 4.8 times higher than that of pristine In 2 O 3. This work systematically investigates the structure–performance relationships, photogenerated carrier behavior, and reactive species generation mechanism, offering new insights and strategies for the design of efficient, stable, and recyclable heterogeneous photo‐Fenton catalysts for wastewater treatment and recalcitrant pollutant removal.
