Abstract

Unique Zinc Guanidine Catalyst The new zinc hybrid guanidine catalyst catalyzes efficiently the polymerization of cyclic esters and the chemical recycling of these polyesters. Polylactide and polycaprolactone are obtained with high molecular weights under industrially relevant bulk conditions and can be degraded either in an open-loop or a closed-loop alcoholysis process. More details can be found in the Research Article by Sonja Herres-Pawlis and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/advs.202511260).
