Abstract

Noninvasive Focal Gene Delivery Drug delivery to the brain is limited by the blood-brain barrier. In their Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/advs.75307), José A. Obeso, Javier Blesa, and co-workers demonstrate successful barrier opening and focal delivery of adeno-associated viral vectors to the cerebellum after systemic injection using low-intensity focused ultrasound in macaques, enabling noninvasive gene therapy approaches.
