Abstract

Abstract Precision agriculture represents a fundamental shift from conventional, labor‐intensive agricultural methods toward data‐driven and adaptable farming solutions. This transformation has accelerated with the emergence of Agriculture 5.0, which integrates advanced digital technologies such as the Internet of Things, remote sensing, artificial intelligence, and unmanned aerial vehicles. These technologies are systematically analyzed for their contributions to operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and the decision‐making process. A Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta‐Analyses–based systematic review approach was employed to identify and screen relevant literature. The selected literature was screened using predefined inclusion criteria and synthesized through thematic analysis to evaluate technological applications, agronomic outcomes, and implementation challenges. The finding indicates that Agriculture 5.0 significantly improves input use efficiency, real‐time crop and soil monitoring, irrigation optimization, and yield stability while reducing environmental impacts. Significant obstacles include the high upfront capital costs, concerns over data privacy and cybersecurity, as well as a lack of digital literacy within farming communities. The review highlights the need for comprehensive policy frameworks, focused capacity‐building efforts, and cooperative innovation ecosystems to address these issues. Future research directions aim to enhance agroecosystem resilience, scalability, and adaptability in the face of accelerating environmental and socioeconomic issues.
