Outside Back Cover: Stability Thresholds of Atomically Dispersed Platinum Catalysts for Solar Hydrogen Production (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 10/2026)
Abstract
In the Research Article (e22214), Juneseo Park and Sungju Yu highlight a critical dispersion threshold dictating the stability of single-atom Pt catalysts under light. Below this limit, isolated Pt sites resist aggregation and efficiently drive hydrogen evolution, achieving 82-fold higher mass activity than nanoparticles. The study reveals how atomic precision defines the boundary between sustained performance and structural degradation.
