Abstract

Hazing on campus colleges continues to be a problem, particularly for groups associated with Greek life and athletics. In 2025, at least one fatal incident of hazing resulted in the death of Southern University student Caleb Wilson. And the Hazing Deaths Database, which has tracked incidents in the United States since 1838, reveals an average of five deaths per year due to hazing since 2000.
