Abstract
TiB2-TiC composite ceramics were synthesized using a low-temperature boron/carbothermal reduction method. By tuning the ratio of TiB2 to TiC, a highly dense composite ceramic can be achieved. The cover shows a TEM image and an elemental distribution map of a sample where the TiB2 to TiC ratio is 64.1:35.9 (%). Red is titanium, green is boron, blue is carbon, and yellow is oxygen.
